Dr. Linda S. Plano, Ph.D.
Linda Plano has over fifteen years of
experience in new product and business development in semiconductor
materials and electronics. Her focus has been primarily
on components for high performance telecommunications applications,
including wireless and optical networks. She has been responsible
for the development of novel materials and their incorporation
into high performance products and for establishing and
maintaining the corporate relationships necessary to develop
those products.
Dr. Plano is an expert in thin film semiconductor
materials, with a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering
from Stanford University and a BS in Physics from MIT. She
has combined this expertise with experience in Marketing,
Product Development, New Business Development and Business
Unit Management.
Dr. Plano has been a research scientist
for Crystallume, a startup company in Northern California,
and has held various executive and management positions
at Kobe Steel’s Electronic Materials Center, Sarnoff Corporation
and Micro Networks Corporation. She is currently writing
a book on component technology for fiber optic networks.
